Reigning Fire: 8 Lines That Still Haunt Me

Updated: Oct 8

When I wrote Reigning Fire, I thought I was telling a story about power, betrayal, and survival. But the parts that stayed with me long after I typed 'the end' weren’t the twists or the strategy scenes—they were these moments.

Quiet lines. Brutal truths. Things I didn’t realize I needed to say until the characters said them for me.

Here are 8 of them—fragments that still haunt me, months later.

Quote from Reigning Fire by Jasmine K. Y. Loo: “Fear is a luxury of the living.” Surrounded by a blazing ring of fire on a black background.

Quote from Reigning Fire by Jasmine K. Y. Loo: “Maybe you’re a bit more dangerous than you let on.” Text has a subtle glitch effect over a bold blue and pink heatwave swirl.

Reigning Fire Quote: "Belief, once seeded, could bend the world more surely than force." Set over indigo smoke clouds on a light background.

Quote from Reigning Fire by Jasmine K. Y. Loo: “Dying for love wasn’t the hardest thing to do—it would only take a moment of valor. Living with grief, on the other hand, was the invisible kind of hard—the kind that earned no reward, no recognition.” A dual-line quote about love and loss over a multicoloured pastel smoke design.
